Network & Security Health Checks

Networks have a tendency to get slower with age for a wide variety of reasons.  The security infrastructure, if not managed rigidly, will turn into something resembling a fine Swiss cheese.  TSG Consulting has certified consultants and instructors that can provide a comprehensive Health Check of your Network and Security infrastructure.  Depending on your needs, a Network/Security Health Check could include:

  • Review firewall rules for security and best practices
  • Document LAN and WAN connectivity: generate an overview drawing
  • Recommend alternative approaches to LAN and WAN if applicable
  • Review router and switch configurations for best practices
  • Analyze router and switch statistics for potential problem links
  • Detail and review router configurations and protocols
  • Packet capture at key point(s) to identify abnormal traffic
  • Review and document IP addressing structure as needed
  • Propose diagnostic and monitoring tools as applicable
  • Identify key communication bottlenecks
